Kids say the darnest things....

All is well here in the Bennett household. We are still adjusting to having a new addition to the family, but things are good! Leighton Grace is growing in leaps and bounds. She amazes me at how 'conversational' she is now. Instead of a "Yes mam" or "No mam" when I asked her if she ate all her breakfast this morning she told me "I sure did". She also told Chad yesterday [very enthusiastically] that "I picked a boogie and ate it ALL!". She was very proud she ate it all and with a straight face Chad had to tell her that we don't pick boogies and eat them...that was not okay. Oy Vey!

Pearls and rings are a must for Saturday morning pancakes....

LG is also being very narrative with her days which is fun and she also has made huge strides in the past month to recongize letters in words. Her "homework" for this week....

Maggie continues to be a good baby. For the most part she cries if she is hungry or has gas, which are both reasons I would cry too. She HATES the hiccups and has them regularly. That is the other thing that will bring her to tears (of frustration) or cause her to purse her brow. She sleeps...a lot. How did I forget how much newborns sleep? Not to say she isn't up plenty too and makes me wonder what she wants. My hormones are still all over the place. Poor Chad has me asking him to turn on the air one minute and then hand me a blanket the next. I feel like I've handled the transition of having a baby in the house well so far...only one or two meltdowns come to mind and I think they were mainly induced by the sleep deprevation. Today marks Maggie's 3 week birthday and here's the sweet little girl!
